Coaching clinics with high level Spanish coaches along with the men’s national team game Denmark – Belarus
The Danish basketball federation in cooperation with Copenhagen Basketball Academy are inviting to a high level coaching clinic. We have been lucky to engage three top level Spanish coaches in coming to Copenhagen to host 4 coaching clinics in the same weekend that the men’s nationall team is facing Belarus in a qualification game for the European championships.
The three coaches are Ricard Casas, Xavi Garcia and Antonio Perez, who have developed players that we see at the highest level in either the NBA or ACB. Noteworthy players are Sergi Llull, Marc Gasol, Ricky Rubio ext.
When buying access to the clinics you will also get a ticket to the national team game. If you are coming from abroad and do not have transportation access, we will try to set you up with local danish attendees of the clinic.
The themes of the clinics are some of the following:
• Offensive and defensive transition structures in the Euroleague
• Offensive and defensive structures in the ACB
• Build yourself to be a pro
• Offensive and defensive tactics
• Emotions and mind in the game

The price of the clinic will be 1250 kr. or 167 Euros and will solely go to the coaches transportation, lodging and salary along with covering the expense for the national team game ticket.
The clinic will be held at Falkonergården, Sønderjyllands Allé 25, 2000 Frederiksberg.

The course is training licensing, cf. DBBF's rules on coaching license, and is aimed at coaches who must have a T-Trainer license (Talent license)
• T-trainer license = The talent license is for you who train a championship team, a team in the 3rd division and up to the Basket / Dam League or youth national team
The clinics themselves will consist of four sessions Saturday the 17th of August and four sessions Sunday the 18th of August. Saturday there will be three sessions before the national team game and one session after. The programme looks as followed:
Saturday the 17th of August:
9:00-12:00 Session #1 and Session #2
12:00-13:00 Lunch Break
13:00-14:45 Session #3
15:30-17:30 National Team Game
18:00-19:45 Session #4
Sunday the 18th of August:
9:00-12:00 Session #1 and #2

Ricard Casas has coached many different teams in ACB (Valencia, Manresa, Valladollid, Menorca). His best result was with Valancia when the club won the Copa Del Rey (the Spanish cup tournament) and has also won a silver medal as a Spanish national team assistant coach at Eurobasket in Lithuania in 2011. At the moment Ricard is a co-coach in the euroleague club FC Barcelona and has also done clinics for FIBA.
Xavi Garcia is a former head coach for Manresa and Spanish youth national teams. At the moment Xavi works as a sports psychology coach for clubs, coaches and players at all levels in Spain. Xaci also has hin own camp for both youth and professional players in July.
Antonio Perez has been a former head coach in Leb Oro (Next bext Spanish division) and has also coached against danish players Jonathan Gilling and Iffe Lundberg. Antonio has been a former assistant coach in the ACB for Valladollid and is at the moment the first assistant coach in Estudiantes Madrid in the ACB. He is known to be a tactical master
